Christian Science Practitioners

Christian Science practitioners are individuals who are in the public practice of Christian Science and are available for anyone to call who is looking for healing through prayer. These spiritually experienced individuals can also answer questions about the benefits that come from studying and practicing Christian Science. Practitioners set their own fees for help through prayer, which is called Christian Science treatment. They use the Bible and Science and Health and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy as their primary resources for helping others.

Christian Science Nurses are available to provide skillful, non-medical physical care for anyone relying on Christian Science treatment for healing. They are skilled in providing practical care such as bathing, dressing wounds, assisting with mobility, feeding, and so forth, as well as giving spiritual reassurance to patients. Christian Science nursing does not include medical treatment.

The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, Massachusetts, also known as The Mother Church, was founded by Mary Baker Eddy, the discoverer and Founder of Christian Science and author of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. The Mother Church also includes the Christian Science Publishing Society which publishes all periodicals and literature on Christian Science.
